Common Questions

When does a truck need clearance work?

Usually when something is physically in the way. Tires catching the fender or inner wheel well, suspension components hitting the frame, bed metal making contact at ride height, or the axle running out of room through its travel are all signs. On lowered and bagged trucks this shows up quickly because the working space shrinks. If you are hearing or seeing contact, send photos of the spot and Hill Designs can tell you what it needs.

Can clearance work be done cleanly?

That is the whole point of doing it properly. The goal at Hill Designs is to make room only where it is actually needed, keep the surrounding structure sound, and finish the work so it looks intentional rather than cut away. Max will talk through what needs to be relieved, how it gets reinforced where that applies, and what the finished result should look like.
