Common Questions
Can you make patch panels if a replacement panel is not available?
Often, yes. Many smaller sections can be shaped or modified by hand at Hill Designs when no reproduction panel exists for the vehicle, which is common on older trucks and less popular models. The right approach depends on the shape of the panel, how much access there is to work behind it, and the condition of the surrounding metal. Send photos of the area and Max can tell you what is realistic.
Is this bodywork or fabrication?
Hill Designs focuses on the metal and fabrication side: cutting, shaping, welding, fitting, and making the structure right. Paint, filler, and finish bodywork are a separate trade and can be coordinated after the metal is solid. That order matters, because the metal has to be sorted out before finish work goes on top of it. If your project needs both, Max can talk through where the fabrication ends and the finish work begins.
